TTS 502 Mount Kilimangaro Climb (7 DAYS)

Day 1: Transfer to Moshi
Transfer from a Nairobi hotel to Namanga. Change vehicles and continue to the base hotel. Overnight at Hotel 5,000FT

Day 2: Climb – Park gate (5,000ft) to Mandara Hut (9,000ft)
After breakfast, start the climb through fascinating rain forests. Walking time is approximately 3-4 hrs. Overnight at Hut 9,000FT

Day 3: Climb – Mandara Hut (9,000ft) to Horombo Hut (12,335ft)
Continue ascending while enjoying the flora and views of Maweni and Kibo Peaks. Hiking time is about 5 hrs and covers 12 kilometres. Overnight at Hut 12,335FT

Day 4: Climb – Horombo Hut (12,335ft) to Kibo Camp (15520ft)
The landscape becomes rugged and rocky. Hiking time is about 5-6 hrs. Overnight at Hut 15,520FT

Day 5: Climb – Kibo Camp (15520ft) to Uhuru Peak (19,344ft)
Start final ascent while the scree is still frozen. Climb the very steep part of the route to Gilman's point (18,635ft) arriving in about 5 hrs. Uhuru peak (19,344ft) is reached within an hour's walk along the crater's rim. The descent starts thereafter. Overnight at Hut 12,335FT

Day 6: Descend – Kibo Camp to Park gate
Return to the Kibo Camp. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at Hotel 5,000FT

Day 7: Transfer to Nairobi
Drive back to a Nairobi hotel via Namanga.

The cost of USD 1200 per person for a minimum of two people includes all meals, park, porters and guide fees during climb, transfer to Moshi and back. Drinks accompanying meals, gratuities, tips and items of person nature are not inclusive.

Booking must be done at least 3 months in advance but the earlier the better.
